Rhea Webster-Eckenrode, MA

Hello all! My name is Rhea Webster-Eckenrode. I obtained
my master’s in clinical mental health counseling from
Messiah University. I attended York College of Pennsylvania and received my Bachelor’s in psychology. Helping has always been a part of my personal life and I place a heavy emphasis on community involvement.

During my time in college, I worked and volunteered within hospitals and local casework agencies. It was (and still is) imperative that individuals I work with feel understood and supported. I strive to look for resources to connect everyone to their communities as I believe that is a great opportunity for stability and a chance to offer a new self-perspective. Ultimately, what is your best self, and how do we get there?

My approach is largely eclectic, collaborative in nature, and utilizes CBT, mindfulness, Solution-Focused Brief (SFBT), Feminist theory, and occasional Dialectics (DBT) to understand clients’ challenges and worldview. As a certified SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) Facilitator, in addition to individuals, I work with couples working towards marriage and working to build a healthy relationship. I am a firm believer that our thoughts and actions matter and once they are understood, we can make the best choices for the life that we want. In due time, we can improve the world around us so that all may have a chance to experience hope for a more equitable future.
