Diversity Training: Student’s Role in Fostering and Recognizing Differences in a Diverse Sphere
This training is custom
designed for the needs of the group and or institution.
The facilitator will incorporate discussions and activities encompassing
introducing students to the various ways people form their identities, including ability, age, class, color, ethnicity, gender identity, national origin, political beliefs, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, status as a veteran, tribal citizenship.
The facilitators will increase awareness of some of the ways that privilege and various forms of advantage can connect to differences. Implicit bias, stereotype danger, cultural dissonance, and attributional ambiguity will also be discussed. The training will include self-reflective practices and safe space for conversation with other students of different identities while working to build cognitive empathy. For Students of Color: SELAH – Students Engaged in Listening and Hope
These monthly sessions are facilitated by trained mental health providersand is offered in person or virtually via Zoom.
The facilitators will meet monthly with students of color allowing them to gather in a safe space to process and heal. It can be very difficult and overwhelming being a student of color at a predominately White institution, and students of color need a place where they can safely share and be heard while also being encouraged. We want your students to have an opportunity to work through their struggles and frustrations with a trained mental health clinician(s).

Real Authentic Challenging  Engaging (RACE)  Dinner Dialogue w/ Dr. Renata Williams
This conversation is facilitated over a delicious dinner. This conversation is designed for intimate gatherings and can be facilitated for private parties. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this service is also offered virtually.
This conversation consists of facing hard truths about racism and how it shows up in your every day life. The facilitators will guide
participants through their racist thoughts and behaviors and help them to understand their areas of growth to become an anti-racist. Color Brave: The Power of Being Color Brave

The facilitators will incorporate discussions about what it means to be treated as a non-white person by our society, tolerance/comfort, implicit and explicit bias, microagressions and microinterventions, and self-care.

Cool, Calm, and Collected: Strategies for Managing Stress
​The nature of society today is go, go, go! It is hard to find time to think and process and address the stress that disrupts our day-to-day engagements. This workshop will address Self Care and Stress Management and is designed to assist individuals in developing resources and coping mechanisms to promote positive psychological well-being. This workshop is offered in person or virtually via Zoom.
This workshop aims to increase participants’ awareness, knowledge, and understanding. We also create a safe space for participants to share their experiences if they desire to do so and express their thoughts. Our stress management training will provide information including the elements of self-compassion, self-reflective practices, healthy routines, self-validation, recognizing when you need help and asking for it, pausing, giving yourself permission to say no, creating and utilizing healthy boundaries, and concluding with questions and answers.
