Karelis Torres Cotto, MA
Clinician
My name is Karelis Torres Cotto, and I am a pre-licensed mental health counselor dedicated to supporting vulnerable populations. I hail from Puerto Rico, where I completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Puerto Rico. After relocating to Pennsylvania, I began working in my community with various groups, including the homeless, those with medical needs, and immigrant populations—particularly undocumented individuals and Spanish speakers.
My experiences in the community have fueled my passion for advocacy, prompting me to further my education with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Messiah University. I find immense fulfillment in helping individuals on their healing journeys, striving to assist them in becoming their best selves.
My work is grounded in utilizing evidence-based interventions from a variety of therapeutic approaches. I believe in offering my clients unique and holistic strategies that center them as the experts in their own experiences. I am especially passionate about serving Hispanic and immigrant communities, and I am committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of those I support. It is my mission to advocate for those in need and to accompany them as they navigate their healing processes.
