Why do we place limitations on ourselves? In one sense, it is a form of self-discipline, but on the other hand, it is a tool we use to protect ourselves from rejection, failure, and change. We encourage our children to reach for the sky and beyond; we tell them that they are capable of anything they put their mind to, but as adults we do not abide by the same rules.
